Palmetto Futures, a forward-thinking non-profit organization committed to environmental equity and justice, is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a significant grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This funding, part of the EPA's Promoting Readiness and Enhancing Proficiency to Advance Reporting and Data (PREPARED) initiative, will support Palmetto Futures' innovative project within the Gullah Geechee corridor over the next three years.
The grant will enable Palmetto Futures to provide comprehensive capacity-building support to community-based organizations in the Gullah Geechee corridor. These organizations face numerous challenges in applying for and executing EPA-funded projects. With this new funding, Palmetto Futures aims to enhance these groups' ability to develop data-driven and impactful projects, effectively evaluate their outcomes, and demonstrate their success.
